The key here is get all particles in a square shape so i’m gonna reduce lifetime and random it 100% Turbulence Field is the most important thing in every particle system and in here it will help our create wavy animation Change Color Overlifetime and we done this part the tail is spread out because of the velocity so we will reduce the velocity here down to 10 Median is a key here so we can collect all particles together. You can use Vector Blur instead of Median or you can use both of them Adjust Size and Opacity Overlifetime for better value and constrast Next step is making color gradient. so i duplicate several layer and adjust Lifetime to cut out the length of particles next step is making loop cycle Making loop cycle is not difficult but it is important for some common effect and this one also loop cycle effect select all layers and right click choose Pre-Compo now you have to decided how many frame do you want to export. Then those frame will be use for making sprite sheet animation i’m working with 30 frames per second so example if you want to make 6×6 texture sheet you have to trim composition from 0 to 35 so here for example i’m going to make loop cycle with 64 frames then render it out and pack all frames in to 8×8 texture sheet Duplicate the original layer then Split copied layer. The key to make composition loop cycle is Opacity. We use Opacity for fade out animation to fix the pop when first frame meet last frame I already made 6×6 texture sheet and 3 color variations Next step is making 3d mesh and paint skin weight. For setup dynamic bone i’m using Sox Animation Toolkit i already import on my project and i’m going to use Drag bone Script to get dynamic overlap and follow through animation please follow the video and in case you want to learn more about this toolkit i put the link to the original video on description below next step is make Flipbook shader Setup master node with Transparent Surface , Blend mode is Additive and render Two Sided First node is the Texture node and Texture 2D Asset, we will convert this node to property later Output RGBA to Color of master node Property to control Alpha Clip here is quite useless , i believe it can be use in some case but in this video it unnecessary next node here is Flipbook to play animation on texture sheet we need property for Row , Column and Tile but this step will be add later for now i just type the number on the node so i can save my time you can see here the animation depends on the number of Tile so we will working with this property to play animation we will need Time node and Speed property then Multiply it together before Output to Tile we will need Floor node to get integer number but the frame doesn’t play exactly at this point so we need Modulo node to fix it alright now is the last part : making property so we can easy to use it in another situation you can add distortion shader or vertex displacement to get more dynamic effect but it is complicated so if you want to learn more about this stuff please comment below and please consider to subscribe my channel , turn on bell notification.
